1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using BillBoss (the "Service"), you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and that you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
3. Your Responsibilities
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, including payment handles and amounts, and for verifying all calculations before you send or request any payment. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
4. Payments
BillBoss does not process, hold, or transfer money. BillBoss coordinates how a bill is split and opens third-party payment applications (such as Venmo, Cash App, and Apple Cash) using deep links prefilled with the amount and the recipient's payment handle. You complete any payment within those third-party applications, which are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Settlement is on an honor-system basis: BillBoss does not guarantee that any person will pay, and we are not a party to any payment between users.
5. Accuracy
Receipt scanning and calculations are provided as a convenience and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming all amounts before sending or requesting payment. BillBoss is not responsible for losses arising from errors in receipt scanning, currency conversion, or information you enter.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BillBoss will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other appropriate means and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
